Are all sweets on this page vegan?

Yes. Everything listed here is free from animal-derived ingredients including gelatine, beeswax and carmine. Check the individual product page for the full ingredients list if you have specific allergen concerns.

What’s the difference between vegan and vegetarian sweets?

Vegetarian sweets avoid meat-derived ingredients but may still contain beeswax or dairy. Vegan sweets go a step further and exclude all animal products. All vegan sweets are vegetarian, but the reverse isn’t always true.

Which popular brands are vegan?

Swizzels makes a lot of vegan-friendly sweets, including Millions, Love Hearts, Refreshers and Parma Violets. Candy Crave’s fizzy range is gelatine-free throughout. Most Barratt chew bars qualify, and many retro hard sweets like pear drops and cola cubes are vegan by default.

Are Haribo sweets vegan?

Most standard Haribo sweets contain gelatine and are not vegan. The halal-certified range uses starch instead, which makes those varieties suitable. Check the label on the specific product to be sure.

Can I buy vegan sweets in bulk?

Yes. Many products are available in full cases and larger bags, which suit events, sweet tables or reselling. Orders over £20 qualify for free UK delivery.

Do vegan sweets taste different?

Not really. Pectin and carnauba wax produce very similar textures to their animal-derived equivalents. Most people can’t tell the difference.
